Nationally recognized dementia care residence

Hagen Care Center is perhaps one of the most unique, forward-looking Alzheimer’s and memory-loss care facilities in Northeast Florida. There are 20 beds, all facing one of two central areas, which was completely renovated in 2008.

A sky-lit dining area, since natural light is a proven mental health booster

A continuing mural throughout the public areas that make the whole facility seem like a small town, with shops and trees. There is even a shelf outside the “pet store” with stuffed animals for the residents to pick up and keep as long as they want.

The entire back wall of the community room is glass, overlooking an enclosed garden area. A paved path leads from one side to the other, allowing residents to walk outside under constant surveillance and come back inside at the end of the path.
