4th of July Activities Set at Penney Retirement Community
Penney Retirement Community’s annual 4th of July Celebration schedule includes a day full of activities for every age. The day begins with a 7:30 a.m. ceremony at the flagpole at the front entrance to the Penney campus. The event will include music, a Girl Scout color guard, an appearance by Betsy Ross and Uncle Sam, the Clay County Parade of Flags, guest speakers and more. The ceremony is followed by a blueberry pancake breakfast in the Penney Dining Room. Starting at 4 p.m., PRC will host a Community Block Party with food and plenty of fun activities until 7 p.m.. Residents are welcome to bring a covered dish or dessert.
