4th Annual Circle of Family & Friends

Penney celebrated its 4th annual fundraiser with 2 special days:

Friday, April 21, was the first Senior Healthcare Symposium. Geared toward healthcare professionals who serve older adults, the roster of speakers was impressive, with experts from Mayo Jacksonville, the University of Florida, St. Vincent’s HealthCare, Baptist Health and Community Hospice & Palliative Care.

Saturday, April 22, residents and guests enjoyed a lovely dinner under the oaks on Penney’s lovely campus. A catered dinner was enhanced by toe-tapping blue grass music by “Lonesome Ride.”

Part of the proceeds will benefit the Shepherding the Shepherds Scholarship, a relatively new program at Penney that helps those who have spent their lives serving others come to Penney.
